First held in 1936 and conducted every four years since 1948, the 2020 Olympic Summer Games were held in Tokyo, Japan. U.S. Olympic men's basketball teams have medaled in each of the 19 Olympics they have particpated in, winning 16 gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals. Owning a 143-6 overall win-loss record, the USA claimed a fourth straight Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
